Match Jars & Cloches

A jar of matches is the rare branded object people display on purpose — on the coffee table, the mantel, beside the stove. We build ours as a finished product: clear glass apothecary jars with cork or glass lids, and dome cloches over a wooden base, each filled with our colored-tip safety matches and finished with a real striker, either a flint-glass strike pad on the underside of the base or a striker disc set into the lid, so the jar works without a matchbox nearby.

Branding goes wherever it reads best. We print or foil-stamp pressure-sensitive labels for the glass, brand the cork or wooden base, and hang a printed swing tag from the neck for retail. The match tips inside are dipped to your palette — a jar of forest-green tips under glass is the whole design — and stem length is chosen to suit the vessel, from short two-inch fills for petite jars to dramatic eight-inch matches standing in a tall cloche.
