Cigar Matches
Lighting a cigar with an ordinary match is a compromise — the sulfur taints the first draw and the thin splint dies before the foot is evenly lit. Cigar matches fix both. We cut ours from aromatic cedar in a thick, square splint around four inches long, dipped with a low-sulfur head designed to flare briefly and hand off to the wood, so what reaches the tobacco is a clean cedar flame, the same wood the cigar was aged with.
The thick splint is the working difference. It burns slowly and evenly enough to toast the foot, rotate the cigar and draw it to an even ring without striking twice, and it resists the little air currents that kill standard matches on a patio. Each box carries a wide phosphorus striker sized for a deliberate, unhurried strike, and the matches sit loose in the drawer rather than jammed, so pulling one out one-handed is easy.
The box itself is built for the lounge: a rigid slide drawer in deep matte stock, foil-stamped or printed full color, sized to sit beside an ashtray or slip into a jacket pocket. Lounges and cigar retailers brand them as the house light, event planners drop them into groomsmen gifts and whiskey-tasting kits, and hospitality groups use them to make the terrace feel considered instead of an afterthought.
Cigar matches suit cigar lounges and retailers, steakhouses and whiskey bars with a smoking terrace, golf outings and groomsmen gifting. Who this style suits
Cigar lounges & retailers
The house light with your name on it — a better ritual than a torch lighter and a box customers pocket and keep.
Steakhouses & whiskey bars
A branded box on the terrace tray that tells guests the smoking hour was planned, not tolerated.
Groomsmen & event gifting
Cedar matches beside the cigars in every gift box — a detail the photos of the porch always catch.
