Custom Matchboxes

A matchbox is a small piece of packaging engineering: a rigid outer sleeve, a sliding inner drawer, and the satisfying push-click between them that makes people fidget with the thing long after the candle is lit. We build ours from dense kraft or coated board that holds its corners in a pocket, fill the drawer with white-birch wooden safety matches, and run a genuine phosphorus striker down one or both sides so the box works as well as it looks.

Print coverage is the reason venues choose the box over the book. The sleeve carries artwork on all five visible faces — top, bottom and three edges — in foil stamp, full-color digital or both, and the inner drawer can print too, so a hidden message, a map or a second color appears every time the box slides open. Match heads come in classic red or dipped to a color from your palette, which turns even the open drawer into a branded surface.

Sizes run from the pocket box that rides in a check presenter to a larger bureau box for suites and gift sets, and every size uses the same safety-strike chemistry: heads ignite only on the box’s striker, which is exactly what hotels and event insurers want to hear.
